FRUIT CAKE RECIPE For Class 70
Ingredients
6oz Self raising flour
6oz Soft Brown sugar
6oz Softened Butter
1 1⁄2 - 2 teaspoons mixed spice 6oz Mixed Dried Fruit4oz Glace Cherries 3 Eggs
Method
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs.
Beat well, then add flour and mixed spice.
Finally add fruit and milk if needed.
Turn into a lined 7” tin. Sprinkle the top with Demerara sugar.
Bake in centre of oven at 160° C or Gas Mark 3 for about 1 to 1 1⁄4 hours.
